Green Beans with Cilantro and Garlic
This is a super easy and delicious way of preparing green beans. I prefer French-cut, but this recipe works equally well with whole green beans and cut green beans.
Ingredients:
1 bag frozen French-cut green beans (or other frozen green beans of your choice)
3 TB extra virgin olive oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
pinch of salt
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
Directions:
1. Add frozen green beans to pan. DO NOT turn on the heat.
2. Add garlic, olive oil, salt, and coat beans thoroughly.
3. Put the cover on the pan and turn the stove on.
4. Cook, covered, over medium heat for 10 minutes (less, if fresh).
5. Remove the cover and stir. Check to see if they are done. If need to cook a bit longer, recover and cook until done.
6. When almost done, add the cilantro, mix through, and cook 1 minute.
